KALLAS takes the week and the $25 that comes with it. Even better: Lucas Glover, KALLAS's T3 anchor, was a waiver pickup just two weeks ago in W22 — previously discarded by JORGENSON (W6) and CP (W9) like a bad Tinder date. That's the fantasy dream: rescue a twice-dropped 45-year-old and cash the ticket. Meanwhile Chris Gotterup hoisted the trophy at -20 for JORGENSON, who did the obvious thing and started him. That's a $16 auction pick returning a tournament win and a tidy 16-point week — congratulations, JORGENSON, you get to be Vice President of a country KALLAS is running.
And then there's NIMSGER. In the timeline where NIMSGER benches Tony Finau (-7) for Tom Hoge (-11), they climb a spot and it's a fun little morale boost. Instead they finished 7th, four strokes from where they could have been — a leak that means precisely nothing since the whole roster was still at -30. Somewhere in the multiverse, Tom Hoge is doing a little dance. Not this one.
Weekly Homa Cup movement had one loud story: Viktor Hovland ripped from OWGR #30 to #13 in a single week and gained CP $9.22 — the kind of swing that turns a season-long anchor into a suddenly-useful asset. Elsewhere Chris Gotterup gained JORGENSON $2.49 (up to #7 OWGR, up $17.42 on the season — the Diamond keeps polishing itself), and Collin Morikawa gained KOVALA $2.31 climbing to #6. On the other side, Ludvig Åberg slid from #14 to #19 and lost JORGENSON $1.38, and Rory McIlroy held steady at #2 but the market cooled him for $1.33 against NIMSGER. Segment 3 is starting to look like KOVALA's coronation walk. 112 points, a 32-point cushion over KALLAS with five events remaining, and a $100 bonus dangling at the finish. KOVALA's segment cash balance is already $225 — nearly a full order of magnitude ahead of anyone else. STAT SHEET, meanwhile, took the -25 last-place hit and is now tied with VANILLA at the bottom of the segment ledger at -$50. The rest of the field is either at zero or trying to remember what winning felt like.
Special goose-egg mention to NIMSGER, who started $8 Michael Thorbjornsen straight into the cut line — a spicy accompaniment to the Finau-over-Hoge decision. KALLAS also sacrificed Daniel Berger ($4) to the cut gods, but at -52 nobody's asking questions.
One more transaction karma note: Ben Kohles, added by CP via waiver THIS WEEK, promptly finished T3 at -18. That's about as fresh as fresh pickup wins get. And Max Homa — dropped twice by KOVALA in W18 and W19 before being scooped back up — finished solo 2nd at -19 for, yes, KOVALA. The bounce-back arc is complete; the therapist has been paid.
